Leicester Speedway will embark upon their third season with the addition of a new co-promoter.
Dave Darcy, who is a familiar face at the Beaumont Park stadium, will work alongside David Hemsley and Alan Jones in the day to day running of the club.
“Leicester is going in the right direction and everyone involved should be proud of the progress made so far. I am pleased to be taking a more active role and helping to take the company forward” commented Dave Darcy.
Dave Darcy’s interest in the sport dates back to 1972, he heads his own company and has been supportive towards Leicester Speedway since the sport returned to the city two years ago.
“I have known Dave now for some considerable time and he has been very helpful to me and Leicester Speedway in so many ways. Running a speedway club is a time consuming operation that relies upon the generosity of so many volunteers to help with the day to day responsibilities that comes with owning and maintaining a stadium and Dave’s appointment is welcomed by me and my Co-promoter Alan Jones” commented the Lions Promoter, David Hemsley.
